Chad is a partner with the Firm.  His primary area of practice is in civil and commercial litigation with first and second chair trial experience.  Mr. Berry graduated from Abilene Christian University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1993.  He received his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan in 1997.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is admitted to practice in the Northern and Eastern Federal District Courts of Texas and the Federal Court of Claims.

PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:

Chad has extensive experience in the management and administration of all phases of commercial litigation.  His primary duties include trying cases, taking depositions, managing discovery, conducting legal research, preparing motions and briefs, making oral arguments before the court, recovering and detaining property, investigation, collecting and reviewing evidence, meeting with clients, interviewing witnesses, preparing witness testimony, negotiating settlements and participating in mediation.  Chad is responsible for files from inception to trial, including but not limited to reviewing documentation, analyzing claims, planning case strategy and drafting pleadings.  Chad is certified as a mediator and family law mediator and has an active mediation practice.  He is also involved with Common Ground, a mediation ministry at his church.
